NDIS Support Worker – Fortitude Valley (Casual) | Set Roster Available Are you a compassionate and engaging support worker looking for a rewarding opportunity with a regular roster? HomeCare Australia is seeking a female NDIS Support Worker (aged 38-58) to assist a friendly and independent participant in Fortitude Valley. This role is perfect for someone who is creative, patient, and enjoys exploring new activities while providing gentle encouragement and support. Roster: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 4-hour shifts starting at 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM About the Role: Our client, Claire, has a psycho-social disability and is looking for a support worker to help her engage in community activities, build new skills, and provide light domestic assistance. Claire does not present any risks of verbal or physical aggression—she simply needs a supportive and understanding person to help her explore her interests and increase her confidence. Your Responsibilities: ✔ Social & Community Engagement: Support Claire in visiting places of interest such as pet shops, museums, libraries, and cinemas (she has a Companion Card). Encourage and explore creative activities together, including art, crafts, and flower arranging. Support Claire in visiting Stepping Stones Clubhouse to participate in group-based social services. Assist Claire with horse riding, hydrotherapy, and podiatry/dietitian appointments if she chooses to engage. ✔ Building Independence & Skills: Help Claire with meal preparation and cooking activities, including attending a weekly cooking class. Support her in learning computer literacy and researching how to sell her handmade jewellery. ✔ Personal & Domestic Assistance: Offer to accompany Claire for a haircut or pedicure (self-funded). Assist with laundry and bed linen changes, including putting linen on the line Make Claire’s bed at the start of each service and provide light domestic assistance as needed. What We’re Looking For: ✅ Female Support Worker (38-58 years old) ✅ Experience supporting NDIS participants, particularly those with psycho-social disabilities ✅ A compassionate and patient nature, with the ability to explore new activities and encourage independence ✅ Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher) ✅ NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ✅ First Aid & CPR Certification ✅ A valid driver’s license and reliable car for community access ✅ A current Federal Police Check Why Join HomeCare Australia?
