The Opportunity
Due to our ongoing growth, we are seeking experienced and passionate Electrical Trainers to join our friendly team, OR we also welcome expressions of interest from Electricians who may be wanting to move off the tools and into the training space but don't yet have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing.
While this is a parttime role it has the potential to go full time. We also seek potential candidates seeking fulltime, or casual.
The main responsibilities of this role are:
* Deliver engaging, hands-on training – mainly to apprentices or VETDSS students at the RTO
* Mark students' assessments and provide timely and constructive feedback.
* Contextualise our training and assessment materials to reflect current industry practices
* Record attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes accurately
* Participate in assessment validation and moderation processes
* Maintain safe, inclusive, and compliant workshop/classroom environments
* Maintain tools, consumables, and materials stock
* Arrange and conduct workplace visits and industry engagement
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Electrician (Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualification)
* Industry skills/experience in relevant industry (evidence of vocational competency and industry currency)
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or willingness to do this
* A passion for teaching, mentoring, and skill-building
* Good computer literacy (MS Word)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as a team member
* Strong understanding of compliance and ability to interpret standards
* Working with Children approval and Police Clearance – or ability to successfully pass these processes
