Job Description
* Prepare and present accurate financial reports and statements.
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and internal policies.
* Assist with budget preparation and management.
* Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision making.
* Manage and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
* Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
* Provide technical accounting advice within the organisation.
* Continually improve financial processes and systems.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate is a Financial Accountant with 3-5 years' experience at the same level and:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional accounting qualification, or working towards (CPA, CA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a similar role (public sector experience desirable, but no essential).
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and legislation.
* Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* TechnologyOne system experience (highly desirable).
