As the Electrical Design Engineer for Austal Defence Australia you'll be providing and supporting the Design of the vessel from concept through to delivery, on time and on budget.

What's Involved
* Produce accurate information and documentation, which meets all procedural and auditable requirements
* Ensure vessel design complies with relevant regulatory authorities, specifications and customer requirements
* Manage design input from third parties such as drawings, certification and manuals
* Selection and requisitions for Electrical power and control, automation, components and devices etc
* Preparation of design and drawings including calculations and schematics
* Design of power generation, distribution, control, lighting and power arrangement, automation, emergency shutdown system, navigation and communication systems
* Design support for production, commissioning and delivery
You'll Need
* Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Mechatronics) or equivalent
* A solid understanding of LV & ELV Power generation and distribution.
* A solid understanding of electrical engineering calculations e.g Short Circuit, Battery calcs
* Advanced AutoCAD skills
* Solid understanding of Production methods and the practical application of design
* >3 years relevant experience.
