Requirements Overview
We are seeking an IT Asset Management Analyst to support a large, multi-year transformation portfolio, contributing to the organization.
As part of the Service Excellence and Resilience team reporting to the Asset Management team leader, this role will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining the clients' hardware and software asset management practices.
The position will ensure that IT assets are accurately recorded, managed, and optimised across their lifecycle — supporting compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency. This includes collaborating with technical teams and vendors to enhance visibility of the client's asset inventory, improve processes for procurement and disposal, and strengthen governance across IT asset management.
This role will heavily focus on the processing of end-user device hardware orders (computers, phones, printers, etc.) and assisting with software license management
Resource will be expected to participate in on-site days as required by the client.
Key Skills
• IT Asset Management Expertise – Demonstrated experience managing hardware and software assets across their lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal).
• Hardware & Software Inventory Management – Proficiency with asset management tools and CMDBs (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM, JAMF, Intune, or equivalent).
• Licensing & Compliance – Strong understanding of software licensing, entitlements, and vendor compliance requirements.
• Data Integrity & Reporting – Ability to maintain accurate asset data, generate reports, and support audit and compliance activities.
• Process Improvement – Experience developing and refining ITAM processes, standards, and documentation to improve efficiency and control.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination – Skilled in collaborating with suppliers, procurement, finance, and IT operations teams to manage assets and contracts effectively.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Strong ability to analyse data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Knowledge of ITIL / Service Management Frameworks – Familiarity with ITIL principles and how ITAM integrates with service management and change control processes.
• Communication & Collaboration – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail – High level of accuracy and accountability in managing asset records and documentation.
Key Qualifications
• Formal qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
• ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent understanding of IT service management practices.
• Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), CSAM, or similar professional certification in IT asset management.
• Experience using ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, or other enterprise ITAM/CMDB platforms.
• Knowledge of ISO IT Asset Management) standards and associated compliance frameworks.
• Exposure to procurement, contract management, or vendor governance processes.
• Familiarity with financial management principles related to asset lifecycle costing, depreciation, and budgeting.
• Experience working in large, complex organisations or higher education environments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity and data protection requirements as they relate to IT assets.
Desirable Skills
• Professional qualifications in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in the IT Service Management platform ServiceNow and procurement methods
