The Graduate School of Motoring is seeking a dedicated Driver Trainer to join our team in Townsville, QLD. As a Driver Trainer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality driver training and assessment services to aspiring and existing drivers. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of safe and confident drivers within our local community.
What you'll be doing
* Delivering comprehensive driver training programs, including theory lessons and practical on-road instruction
* Conducting driver assessments and providing detailed feedback to help students improve their skills
* Maintaining detailed records of student progress and assessment results
* Staying up-to-date with changes in traffic laws, regulations, and best driving practices
* Collaborating with the broader team to continuously improve the quality of our driver training services
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a qualified driving instructor or driver trainer, with a strong understanding of road rules and safe driving techniques or a desire to obtain the relevant qualifications required to become a qualified driver trainer.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively instruct and provide constructive feedback to students
* A patient, empathetic, and encouraging teaching style to help students of all abilities and backgrounds feel supported
* Strong organisational and record-keeping skills to maintain accurate student records
* A current driver's licence and a clean driving history
* Relevant qualifications in driver training or a related field would be highly desirable
