About the Role
We are seeking a talented lawyer with 2 to 4 years' PQE to join our rapidly growing Brisbane Construction practice in a contentious/back-end role.
This role offers a rare opportunity to work directly with experienced partners on complex and high-value construction disputes, while also being given the space, responsibility and support to build your own practice and develop into a senior member of the team.
Responsibilities
* manage and progress litigation matters from commencement through to resolution with partner support;
* draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions and other court documents;
* prepare detailed legal advice and evidence;
* appear at directions hearings, interlocutory applications and trials;
* brief and work closely with leading counsel in defended litigation;
* assist in developing client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the practice; and
* assist in building the practice through ongoing business development initiatives.
Qualifications
* 2–4 years' PQE in construction litigation or commercial litigation;
* strong drafting and analytical skills;
* confidence appearing in court or a strong desire to develop advocacy skills;
* a collaborative mindset and the ambition to grow within a high-performing team;
* Direct mentoring from experienced construction partners;
