**Job Description**:
**Our Family**:
- 1 x almost 7 year old caring girl who loves playing with her older brother despite the age gap. 1 x 19 month old delightful happy boy, and a newborn baby boy. I am currently on maternity leave from my job but need to be able to work remotely soon and then have contact hours. We are husband and wife team who run a medium sized business that does require our attention. We try to balance spending time with our kids but also needing to be available for our business and staff.
**Your Duties**:
- Looking after the kids - not limited to but including: Playing with the children, reading to them, doing activities with them like drawing, playdough etc. taking them to the park either walking or by car (car seats provided if you don't own). School drop off for my eldest and pick up as required with the 19 month old in tow (he loves going to school). Do my daughters hair for school if required, help her with 10mins of homework if required, get the kids outdoors after school to play before dinner either at a park on the way home from school or at home. Take the 19 month old to rhyme time on Tuesdays and switch out library books for everyone. Assisting with the newborn limited to start but more as he gets older and when I need to work eventually you would have the 2 boys without me being home for blocks of time (I am breastfeeding on demand at the moment). Putting the toddler down for his midday nap, then naps for new baby. Preparing and feeding any of the kids lunch and snacks. Changing nappies. Folding washing time permitting if both kids are asleep at the same time. Assistance with keeping the kitchen tidy around kids meal times or when they are napping (unloading, loading dishwasher). General basic tidying up of the children's play area and bedrooms. Occasionally walk or drive to the shops (very close by) with or without the 19month in tow (he loves the shops) to get missing essentials like milk (nothing major). Not currently but in the future potential meal prep for dinner time permitting seeing how it goes with 3 in the mix!
**Our Perfect Caregiver**:
- Someone who is engaging and focused on what's best for the children. Who can make good attachments to the children. Who genuinely is interested in kids and their development. Who is able to manage 2 kids on their own and eventually the 3 at certain times of the day if required. My daughter loves drawing, arts and crafts if that is something you can encourage or join in with mostly during the school holidays. My 19 month old son is a little chatterbox picking up lots of new words, singing and loves engaging with kids of all ages, he needs to be out of the house exploring the world ideally once a day. Hours the nanny must be available to start 8am and stay ideally to 5-5.30pm, minimum 4.30pm end time Tuesdays and Friday. Thursday mornings ideal but not essential - ability to come with me to the 19month olds swimming lessons holding the newborn. Eventually both boys will swim hopefully back to back. Ability to pick up extra hours in school holidays preferred but not a deal breaker. Ability to rarely be available on a weekend for a few hours for date nights in the future when the newborn is older would be nice but not essential. Someone who is a member of the Australian Nanny Assocation. Ideally someone happy to invoice us on their ABN. We pay a higher rate for someone invoicing us as opposed to being on a formal payroll, to account for supa contributions etc. I took out a workers compensation policy to cover the nanny. If the successful applicant would prefer to be on a payroll this is do-able.
