Our School is recognised as both a top academic school, with excellent ATAR results, as well as a school with a wider range of VET and Certificate course opportunities, focusing on appropriate pathways for our students. We are seeking an energetic, innovative and passionate French Teacher. This role could also provide leadership of French across the School as the French Co-ordinator. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the French language and culture and will be able to engage and inspire students to reach their full potential in learning French. This role could also be residential in our Boarding community.
Key Responsibilities
This is a wonderful opportunity for Teacher of French only, but there is also a great opportunity for a leadership role as French Co-ordinator too for those candidates interested.
Educational Excellence: Support the teaching and learning of French through support and discussion with additional teacher(s) of French. Plan and deliver French lessons to Secondary students. The ability to teach more broadly across Primary too would be an advantage.
 * Provide leadership, direction and co-ordination to support the learning of French within the School.
 * Create and maintain a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for the French language.
 * Prepare and implement effective assessments to track and report on student progress.
 * Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged.
 * Communicate effectively with parents, guardians and colleagues regarding student progress.
 * Participate in school events, co-curricular activities and professional development.
 * Provide a co-ordination role for French Language teaching and activities across the Primary and Secondary campuses.
Essential Requirements
 * Bachelor's degree in Education or French, with associated Education qualifications.
 * Current registration with the WA Teachers Registration Board.
 * Current Working with Children card, or willingness to apply.
 * Ability to teach French ATAR courses.
 * Knowledge and experience of the WA French Curriculum.
Desirable Requirements
 * Experience teaching French at Primary and Secondary levels.
 * Strong communication and organisational skills
 * Evidence of providing a differentiated curriculum.
 * Able to demonstrate a positive, proactive approach to student wellbeing and the ability to develop constructive relationships with students within the context of the School's Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures.
 * A willingness to contribute to wider school programs, including co-curricular, camps or other school-based activities.
