Your Opportunity
The Casework Support Program (CSP), funded by Youth Justice NSW, supports young people engaged with the criminal justice system who are supervised by Youth Justice Case Workers in community offices and assessed as having a medium to high risk of reoffending. The program provides individualized support based on each young person's Youth Justice assessment and case plan.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Assist and encourage clients to develop skills necessary to achieve their set goals- Providing assertive outreach due to requirement to travel and work intensively in community- Submit weekly reports detailing 4-6 hours of client contact per week per client (5 clients maximum)- Liaise with the Department of Youth Justice providing casework support with participants- Maintain client folders and documents, ensuring that all documents are completed- Contribute to the effective functioning and development of the service including WHS requirements.
Requirements for Success- Experience working with young people with challenging behaviours- Senior First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain- Current driver's license- Knowledge of case management and issues surrounding homelessness and an understanding of the issues that impact on families- Drivers licence and high level confidence driving in a wide catchment area
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
