Lead Strategic Change That Matters. Are you a passionate regulatory leader who is committed to building a modern, efficient, and outcomes-driven regulatory system? This is your opportunity to lead a brilliant team of regulators, work alongside seasoned peer regulators and deliver strategic programs in DPRID that uplift regulatory capability and maturity across local and state regulatory agencies bettering our collective performance and ensuring our work and outcomes are well recognised by government, industry and the public.

* 10 months, Temporary full-time opportunity
* Location – All of NSW (flexible and negotiable)
* Clerk Grade 11/12, salary staring from $149,739 to $173,174 + superannuation + leave loading

About the Role

This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where your expertise will directly influence how regulation is designed, delivered and measured across NSW. As Manager, Regulatory Performance, you will lead initiatives that embed operational best practice, strengthen performance frameworks and support high-quality regulatory outcomes for industry, government and the community.

You will work across policy, legislation, performance and quality assurance—driving improvements that enhance integrity, consistency and effectiveness across regulatory programs.

What you'll be known for

* Managing competing priorities and complex issues in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
* Maintaining deep, current knowledge of legislation and regulatory frameworks.
* Providing clear, timely and well-reasoned advice on complex and sensitive matters, often within tight timeframes.
* Leading change and continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of service delivery and integrity.

What you'll bring

You are a strategic and outcomes-focused leader with:

* Strong experience in regulatory practice,
* Proven ability to interpret legislation and translate it into practical, operational solutions.
* Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* A commitment to building modern regulatory agencies, best practice regulation, continuous improvement and integrity.
* The confidence to provide clear, evidence-based advice in complex and time-critical situations.

Essential requirements

* Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel.
