We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our care team on a part-time basis. Our nursing home provides holistic care in a safe and supportive environment, giving residents the freedom to make their own choices about their daily routines.

As a Registered Nurse, your role will be one of responsibility and accountability. You will be the nurse in charge when on shift, ensuring that through effective communication and leadership, your team provides residents with optimum care.

* Carrying out medication rounds using electronic systems, managing stock, and conducting CD checks.
* Escalating any medication changes or concerns to pharmacy teams or home management teams.
* Providing wound care and management, venepuncture, stoma care, end-of-life care, and IV medications.
* Daily documentation of actions and communications on our e-plan, managing and updating care plans for residents assigned to you as named nurse.
* Being aware of each service user's needs and knowing when to communicate with families, outside agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams to provide the best outcomes for our residents.
* Mandatory training to remain up-to-date, attending training sessions required for your role, which we support, and continuing to develop your skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* You must be a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and no restrictions to work.
* The ability to assess care needs and produce care plans that reflect residents' needs and wishes is essential.
* Basic IT skills are required for this job, as we use electronic care planning and medication systems. Training will be given in our systems.
* Experience working within a team and being able to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and other professionals.
* Ability to use clinical skills in areas such as managing wounds, catheter care, venipuncture, suctioning, deteriorating health, and end-of-life care.
* Knowledge of recognising and managing decline in health physical or mental.
