CJZ Farms is a family-owned agricultural enterprise located in the heart of the Lockyer Valley. We are currently seeking a motivated and capable individual to undertake the role of Production Supervisor for a period of 6–8 months, covering maternity leave. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience within a dynamic farming operation.
At the conclusion of the maternity leave period, a review will be conducted to assess operational requirements and determine the most suitable structure moving forward. As the successful candidate will remain employed beyond this period, future responsibilities will be discussed in consultation with all relevant parties, particularly in the event of the current Supervisor's return.
Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for this position.
What You'll Be Doing as the Production Supervisor:
· Casual Production staff duties, which includes:
o Inspecting produce quality
o Cutting, trimming and washing produce
o Packing of produce
o General shed cleaning
o Demonstrate compliance with the site's food safety, access and movement requirements
· Reporting to the Director
· Responsible for the production shed and all workers including forklift driver
· Ensuring that customer quality expectations are met – quality inspections on all produce lines
· Induction of new staff
· Training staff
· Ensuring customer orders are fulfilled
· Arranging transportation to customer
· Liaising with Director regarding order fulfilment / staffing requirements
· FIFO rotation in cold storage area
· Organising staff for shifts
· Driving manual and electric pallet jack
· Administration duties specific to role:
o Production record keeping
o Daily stocktake
o Completing delivery dockets
o Checking emails
· Overall responsibility for management of the product distribution in compliance with the Freshcare Food Safety & Quality Standard (experience with Freshcare is preferred but not essential)
· Manage any instances of a potential for product contamination and reports these to QA Administrator
· Manage customer requirements in consultation with the Director
· Manage and attend annual Quality Management Review meetings
· Supporting QA Administrator and fulfilling any extra admin duties when required that are specific to role
