Hotel Kurrajong Canberra is hiring an Executive Assistant Manager to support the General Manager across all facets of hotel operations.
Located in a Heritage-listed building, this 5-star hotel offers a unique space for parties and events, with 147 rooms and suites, a multi-award-winning wedding venue, and six conference and event spaces.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth running and exceptional guest service.
* Participate in revenue meetings to set strategies for weekly and monthly revenue growth.
* Assist with financial management, creating budgets, monitoring expenditures and revenues, and ensuring profitability targets are met.
* Work closely with department heads to ensure coordinated operations and consistent service delivery.
* Maintain quality and safety standards for food preparation, storage, presentation, and service.
* Set up conferences and events for success and encourage the C&E team to maximize revenue through innovative interactions.
* Manage rosters and approve timesheets to maintain effective coverage while controlling costs.
About You
1. 2+ years of senior leadership experience in Rooms, Operations, or Front Office.
2. A sound understanding of full-service hotels, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Conference & Events.
3. Commercially savvy, with a passion for driving revenue and profit growth.
4. An engaged and initiative-taking attitude with excellent communication skills.
5. Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
