YOUTH PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

The BelRose Group has been exclusively engaged by MacDonnell Regional Council to recruit two Senior Coordinator Youth Services. These roles provide an exceptional opportunity to significantly impact youth programs across Central Australia's remote communities, contributing positively to local Indigenous youth engagement.

With a strong focus on empowering local Indigenous staff, the Council prides itself on fostering independence, enhancing community wellbeing, and supporting sustainable development.

As a Youth Programs Coordinator, you will support Youth Services Coordinators and local teams to successfully deliver impactful youth programs. Reporting to the Executive Manager Youth and Community Safety, you will play a crucial role in planning, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the quality and compliance of programs and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of youth services
* Assist in strategic development and identify new funding opportunities
* Manage stakeholder relationships, compliance with contract obligations, and external partnerships
* Ensure high-quality reporting, record-keeping, and correspondence
* Recruit, supervise, and mentor Youth Services Coordinators
* Build capacity and career pathways for local Indigenous staff
* Regularly collaborate with Youth Boards, Local Authorities, and community organisations

Ideal Candidate:

* Degree in Youth, Community Development or related field (or a minimum of four years' leadership experience)
* Proven ability to manage staff and resources effectively
* Experienced in culturally diverse settings, preferably with Indigenous communities
* Highly organised, analytical thinker with a strong compliance focus
* Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of mediation and conflict resolution
* Proficient in report writing, financial management, and computer systems
* Holds a current NT manual driver's licence and can obtain a Working with Children (Ochre) Card

REWARDS AND BENEFITS:

* Base salary $98,883 plus 12% superannuation
* Travel allowance of $140 per day when travelling
* Relocation assistance up to $9,000
