Where you'll be working
You will be part of the Inverell Hospital Administration Team. The Administration Team is a small cohesive team that take great pride in the patient centred customer service they provide.
Inverell is an elegant and historic rural town on the Macintyre River and is in the heart of the gemstone country. The town is known as Australia's Sapphire City, and you can try your luck at finding gemstones at Billabong Blue Sapphire Fossicking Park and several other locations around town. Inverell Hospital is a busy Rural District Hospital. Departments within the hospital include the Emergency Department, Renal Dialysis Unit, In-Patient Unit, Maternity and Surgical Services. Students in Nursing, Assistants in Nursing, Enrolled Nurses, Registered Nurses, Midwives and Administration all form part of our dynamic workforce.
What You'll Be Doing
* Step into a role where your attention to detail and organisational skills directly support patient care and community safety.
* You'll be at the heart of our health information team – coding clinical documentation with precision, keeping DRG accuracy on point, and hitting key performance targets.
* No two days are the same: one moment you'll be solving coding queries, the next you'll be preparing urgent medical records for digitisation or responding to high-priority information requests.
* You'll work closely with agencies such as NSW Police, the Coroner, and Child Protection teams, ensuring that every request is handled swiftly, accurately, and with absolute confidentiality.
