 
        
        Join the community safety team of a leading Northern Suburbs council. Full and Part time opportunities for Community Safety Officers educating and enforcing relevant acts and regulations. Roles available on a casual basis with potential of fixed and longer-term contracts.
Successful applicants must be available to work over a 7-day roster, including outside of business hours and be flexible in working areas across Council, where required.

**Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
- Undertake investigation, make recommendations, issue notices and orders in relation to:
- Dog and cat management, including seizing and impounding stray, lost or dangerous dogs and educating cat owners on their responsibilities, including assisting in the trapping and removal of cats 
- Allegations of abandoned vehicles and the impounding and release of vehicles, where necessary 
- Prepare court proceedings and represent Council as required 
- Advise public on community safety and assist in the development, delivery and implementation of educational and operational programs, projects and initiatives 
- Educate residents and businesses on their responsibilities in relation to nuisance and litter control Act 
- Monitor roads, open spaces and beaches for compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and procedures
**Qualifications and experience**: 
**_Essential_** 
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence 
- Ability to work over a 7-day roster, including outside of business hours and be flexible in working areas across Council, where required. 
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt and relate to people from diverse backgrounds 
- Strong research and problem solving skills
**_ Desirable_** 
- Experience in a regulatory role or similar 
- Experience in Investigations 
- Experience in conflict resolution
