Start or grow your healthcare career with a rewarding Assistant in Nursing role in Operating Theatres. Temporary full-time opportunity based at Logan Hospital, Meadowbrook, supporting the Operating Theatre team within Metro South Health's Division of Surgery & Critical Care.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting Registered Nurses with the delivery of direct and indirect patient care
2. Supporting the day-to-day functioning of the perioperative unit including restocking, equipment checks and maintaining clinical areas
3. Observing and reporting patient care needs and escalating concerns appropriately
4. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes
5. Contributing to a safe, respectful and person-centred environment for patients, families and staff
6. Participating in ongoing education, training and quality improvement activities
About You
7. A genuine passion for patient-centred care and supporting others
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills
9. The ability to follow direction and work effectively under supervision
10. Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude toward learning
11. A commitment to safety, professionalism and continuous improvement
12. A Certificate III relevant to the clinical area and/or current nursing or midwifery studies highly regarded
13. Previous perioperative or hospital experience highly regarded

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
