Location and Roster
FIFO from Perth, DIDO from surrounding areas or Residential. Lakewood is located 6km from Kalgoorlie, with our mining operations located within a 40km radius of the processing facility.
Roster: 8/6, day shift only.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Geology Manager, our Senior Resource Geologist will be responsible for the delivery of models for the Fingals and Majestic mines within the Kalgoorlie East Group.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in the geosciences or a related discipline. Post graduate qualifications in Geostatistics (highly regarded).
* Experience in mining and exploration geology, preferably gold, with experience in resource modelling and estimation.
* Strong experience with linear and nonlinear estimation, including recoverable resources and simulation techniques with ability to decide on and apply the most appropriate methods.
* Demonstrated focus on model reconciliation with an ability to interrogate the causes of changes to models and demonstrate the impact on the resulting models and economics of the project.
* Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, drilling and sampling practices and standard gold industry laboratory analytical methods.
* Experience in the use of geological software for mining operations and estimation.
