Joining us means playing an integral role in creating memorable experiences for our guests.About The RoleWe are seeking a motivated, experienced GPH-qualified Deckhand for a casual position starting in May 2025. Deckhands are customer-facing, involved in vessel maintenance, operations, and supporting hospitality to ensure excellent guest experiences.Work involves a rotating roster, predominantly afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with cruise days increasing from 4 to 7 per week from March to June.Responsibilities include:Preparing the vessel for cruises, managing mooring lines, and performing deck roundsEnsuring guest safety and delivering high-quality serviceCleaning, assisting with food and beverage service, and handling guest requestsMaintaining logbooks, reporting safety concerns, managing guest complaints, and liaising with office staffRequirementsAbout YouYou should be passionate, service-oriented, a team player with a positive attitude, and flexible to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.QualificationsAMSA Certificate of Competency - General Purpose Hand (essential)Coxswain/Master/MED/Radio skills (highly regarded)Responsible Service of Alcohol (essential or willing to obtain)Food Safety Handling (essential or willing to obtain)First Aid & CPR (essential or willing to obtain)Additional SkillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsInterest or experience in hospitality tasksBasic marine knowledge and swimming skillsWell-presented appearanceComputer literacy and cash handling skillsReliable, proactive, and able to manage crowds and speak publiclyCross-cultural awareness and necessary work entitlements in AustraliaNo sea sicknessA pre-employment medical and Police Check may be required.Ready to join?
