Cloud-Native Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud-Native Engineer to lead our containerization efforts.
* Job Description: Conduct a thorough assessment of our current application portfolio to identify suitable candidates for containerization. Develop optimal Dockerization strategies and collaborate closely with development teams to understand application runtime requirements.
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop highly optimized, secure, and production-ready Dockerfiles for various application components.
2. Implement Docker Compose configurations for local development, testing, and integration environments.
3. Design and develop robust, declarative Kubernetes manifests for deploying applications efficiently.
4. Implement advanced Kubernetes features such as Horizontal Pod Autoscaling, Vertical Pod Autoscaling, Network Policies, and Pod Security Policies.
5. Set up and configure a new Kubernetes cluster or optimize an existing one.
6. Utilize Helm charts for packaging, versioning, and deploying complex applications and their dependencies on Kubernetes.
7. Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for automated container image building, rigorous testing, and seamless deployment to Kubernetes environments.
8. Integrate comprehensive observability solutions within the Kubernetes environment.
9. Implement advanced security best practices for Kubernetes.
10. Troubleshoot complex containerization and Kubernetes-related issues.
Requirements: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles, with at least 4 years specifically focused on Docker and Kubernetes in production environments. Expert-level proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
