We're seeking a passionate and skilled Commis Chef to join our team in one of Tasmania's most breathtaking locations.
About the Role
This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, providing exceptional service with a warm welcome to our guests.
* Under the direction of the Senior Chef on shift, you'll undertake cooking, baking, pastry cooking or butchering duties to a consistently high standard.
* You'll assist with maintaining the general cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment.
* Additionally, you'll assist with the training of Kitchen Attendant staff.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in kitchen operations.
* A passion for your trade and for creating and presenting contemporary dishes using local produce.
* Formal qualifications in commercial cookery.
* The ability to work productively in a fast-paced, buzzing work environment, dealing with a high volume of covers in a short period of time.
* A DoFoodSafely certificate of completion.
