The Opportunity
We are seeking those who are looking to transition into a new type of role. As a Theatre Assistant, you will play a vital support role within surgical teams.
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
* Supporting the Surgical Team – Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses with preparing the operating rooms.
* Maintaining Sterility – Ensure that the theatre environment, equipment, and instruments remain sterile to reduce infection risks.
* Cleaning and Disinfecting – Clean the theatre after surgeries and prepare it for the next procedure. Handle clinical waste.
* Inventory Management – Monitor and restock supplies.
* Assisting with Patient Positioning and Transfer – Safely transport and position patients on the operating table, ensuring comfort and preventing injuries.
Skills and Experience
You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. You will also need to be flexible and have the ability to work a rotating roster.
You will also bring :
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently as required.
* Excellent patient and customer service focus
Requirements
* Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
* Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
