Asset Management Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Asset Management Engineer to play a key role in shaping and advancing our organisation’s long-term reliability and asset strategies. This position is central to developing, enhancing, and influencing the business’s Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and supporting Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and systems that ensure compliance with both organisational goals and legislative requirements.
As an Asset Management Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement in asset performance by establishing robust processes, performing audits, and providing clear reporting that guides decision-making across the organisation.
As a minimum you will hold
* Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or an Engineering Trade complete with extensive industry experience
* Maintenance Management qualifications or desire to gain
* Knowledge of modern maintenance management systems (SAP)
* Sound understanding of the milling process and familiarity with operational terminology
* Excellent understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
* Good knowledge of Work Health and Safety and Environmental compliance
* Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP – Intermediate level
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure WHS and Environmental objectives are achieved by providing leadership that establishes a strong commitment to safety and the environment.
* Ensure Mackay Sugar meets its statutory obligations by monitoring and reporting compliance with the required inspections and maintenance programs for the installed plant and equipment.
* Liaise with and establish working relationships with Government bodies including providing technical expertise for Sugar Industry Committees.
* Ensure that MSL continually improves its productivity and profitability by providing strategic development, leadership, governance, and technical support through the development of an Asset Management Framework compliant to PAS55.
* With the technical assistance of the Reliability Group and Principal Engineers, own the development of company-wide, station specific, standardised Asset Management Plans as part of the Asset Management Framework compliant to PAS55.
