Patient Access Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized Patient Access Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient access, scheduling appointments and handling patient communications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage patient access, including scheduling appointments, updating patient records and ensuring accurate and complete information is maintained.
* Communicate effectively with patients, physicians and other staff members to ensure seamless care delivery.
* Collect co-pays and patient due balances, review encounter forms for completeness and accuracy, obtain patient signatures and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
* Assist patients with activating and navigating their patient portal.

Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Driver's license may be required.
3. Experience in a medical office and customer service is preferred.
4. Additional skills/requirements: computer skills and effective cash collection skills are preferred.
