This position is a member of the TAIHS multidisciplinary team. The Senior Receptionist/Allied Health Assistant is responsible for providing support to Allied Health Professionals to deliver health care services to TAIHS patients under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome patients/visitors presenting to the clinic
* Ensure a high standard of care and confidentiality is provided to patients, doctors, and workforce
* Ensure the provision of excellent communication and customer skills to patients and employees
* Assist patients with enquires and appointments when they arrive at the clinic in person
* Answer phones and incoming enquiries in a timely confidential fashion
* Book and confirm patient/transport appointments
* Undertake general administrative duties to support the effective operations of the clinic
* Ensure a friendly and courteous disposition with all communication
* Ensure all client documentation is scanned accurately and in a timely manner
* Ensure patient appointments including bookings, confirming, cancellation, rescheduling as required is actioned
* Provide administrative support for Health Professionals, i.e., filing, scanning, and photocopying
* Support patients attending appointments
* Assist visiting allied health providers such as optometrist, podiatrist, dietician and visiting medical specialists
* Coordinate client bookings and patient transport
* Stock, tidy and set up clinical rooms
* Support reports on patient attendance and service delivery
