The Opportunity
Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking a full time or part time, experienced Health Information Manager. The role is dedicated to managing the operational and strategic aspects of the department including clinical coding, data collection and analytics, medical records and information privacy. The role works closely with the hospital executive team and will be responsible for:
* Manage the medical record functions of the department
* Assign accurate ICD-10-AM and ACHI codes and perform Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) grouping.
* Perform data quality activities and mandatory data submissions for private health funds and department of health.
* Provide education and consultation with multidisciplinary team.
* Information Privacy Steward for the hospital
About You
You will be an experienced Health Information Manager. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, have excellent attention to detail and good communication skills. You will have strong organisational and communication skills to support service delivery and provide consultation and advice in all aspects of Health Information Services.
To be successful in your application, you will need:
* Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
* Clinical coding experience using ICD-10-AM, ACHI & ACS
* Advanced data collection and analysis skills
