Job Overview

As a seasoned business partner, you will lead a cross-functional team across the full spectrum of HR, Training, Recruitment, and Social Inclusion. You will be split between two primary locations.


The Project

The project encompasses the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a state-of-the-art facility with planned production commencing in 2028.

* Provide expert guidance on employee and industrial relations, including conducting intermediate-level investigations, drafting comprehensive reports, and managing negotiated exits.
* Interpret and apply employment legislation and enterprise agreements, offering accurate advice to payroll on matters such as long service leave, superannuation, and ordinary time earnings.
* Support workforce planning and development by identifying talent gaps, advising on capability needs, and analyzing workforce data to inform strategic decisions.
* Contribute to organizational design and change initiatives, assessing the impact of role and structural changes on business operations.
* Lead and align HR governance and strategy, ensuring job roles, capabilities, and salary bandings support organizational goals, while overseeing junior team members' work.
* Promote a positive workplace culture, embedding diversity and inclusion initiatives, managing ethical decision-making, and supporting employee branding strategies.
* Drive talent acquisition and retention strategies, including sourcing, advising on hiring processes, and developing competitive compensation and benefits packages.


Required Skills and Competencies

* Experience in an HR leadership role in a complex project or similar heavy industry environment.
* Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to manage a team effectively.
* Capability to influence and drive change management through all levels of project leadership and operational staff.
* Highly proficient with employment law, regulations, and best practices in HR.
* Ideally, a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
