What's the role?
As an Australia Asset Owners' Index Sales Specialist, you will be a key driver of the commercial strategy for Bloomberg indices within this client vertical, working closely with clients, sales, and product management to deliver solutions and develop business opportunities. The Australia Asset Owners Index specialist will be part of a team focusing on Superannuation and Insurance firms, and responsible for coverage of strategic accounts as well as working closely with regional index sales specialists to seek wider adoption and increased penetration of Bloomberg Index products within this client segment. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key influencers in the Pension Fund and Insurance community and provide them with consultative and commercially focused index solutions. You'll be involved in all aspects of market sizing, prospecting, account management, including senior level relationship management and in-depth discussions regarding Bloomberg index methodology and new product development. You will be a key source for future Index product strategies, having input on the entire product life cycle.
The role will require you to collaborate with the wider APAC Index Sales Team, Bloomberg Index Product, Engineering and Marketing to develop client-focused solutions. You'll be joining a highly experienced, motivated and fast-growing Index Relationship Management team in Asia Pacific that sits within Global Financial Product Sales. You will need to have passion and knowledge of the institutional industry, keep pace with Index trends, local regulation and what our customers need.
We'll trust you to:
* Maintain senior level relationships with Australia's Superannuation and insurance community
* Conduct in-depth discussions regarding Bloomberg index methodology and new product requirements
* Increase client wallet share and adoption of Bloomberg Indices
* Take a lead role in conducting internal and external training sessions and sales pitches
* Work with clients throughout the sales process including commercial terms and contract execution
* Collaborate extensively with different internal teams to cross-sell our suite of solutions
* Provide detailed product feedback from clients to internal business managers to continually improve our products
