Investment Research Role
We are seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to in-depth managed funds product research that drives key decisions for financial advisers and investors.
About The Position:
* As an Investment Analyst, you will deliver insightful managed fund research to financial advisers and industry subscribers.
* You will build expertise across key asset classes—including equities, fixed income, property, infrastructure, and alternatives—while working with a broad mix of investment products, from listed and unlisted funds to ETFs and LICs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed analysis of managed fund products across various asset classes, following annual review cycles and senior guidance.
2. Provide ongoing support to the Managed Funds Research team with research and reporting.
3. Participate in reviews of investment managers, evaluating product strategies, risk frameworks, and portfolio construction.
4. Prepare research reports such as Fund Profiles, Viewpoints, and Reviews, as well as broader investment outlooks.
5. Engage with external clients and contribute to team initiatives, including market bulletins and cross-team collaboration.
About You:
* 1-3 years experience in investment research, financial advice, stockbroking, fund management, or a corporate environment.
* Strong qualitative research skills with a focus on distilling complex financial information and presenting it clearly.
* Solid understanding of investment markets and asset classes, backed by a genuine interest in finance.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
* Effective communication and interviewing skills, including confident interactions with external stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and able to work both independently and within a collaborative team.
Essential Qualifications:
* Undergraduate Degree.
Highly Regarded Qualifications:
* Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).
* CFA.
* Master of Business Administration / Economics / Commerce / Applied Finance.
* RG146 accreditation.
