Rochedale State School is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Officer with a passion for education. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to multitask effectively.

This is a permanent part-time

About Us:

Rochedale State School was opened in 1931 and has a mix of original buildings and more recent classrooms. Each classroom is air-conditioned and contains state of the art smart boards and computer pods. Other facilities include: a pool, two tennis courts, numerous playgrounds, and indoor hall/gym, computer lab, fulltime tuckshop, air-conditioned performance hall and outside school hours care. About the Role:

Your Opportunity:

* You will be the first point of contact for many families, creating a welcoming and supportive experience through exceptional customer service.
* You will contribute to the effective & efficient administration of our very busy school. Coordinate the student enrolment process, maintain accurate records using systems such as OneSchool, and ensure compliance with Department of Education policies.
* Working closely with the Principal and Leadership Team, you will provide timely enrolment data and assist with analysis to support school planning and business continuity.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

* Human Resource Management: Support the day-to-day management of support staff, including recruitment, induction, training, workload monitoring, performance support, and coordination of relief and contract placements for both teaching and support staff.
* Workforce Planning & Compliance: Assist in identifying workforce needs, maintaining accurate staff records, tracking compliance training, managing Blue Card and ADO processes, and ensuring adherence to departmental policies, legislation, and procedural requirements.
* Financial Administration: Contribute to financial operations through data entry, maintenance of registers, timesheet and leave processing, and support regular budget reviews, purchasing, payment plans, and process improvement initiatives.
* Resource & Facilities Management: Assist in managing assets, resources, and facilities, including stocktakes, maintenance scheduling, facility hire, inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
* Project & Operational Support: Collaborate with the Business Manager on capital works and minor projects, providing coordination, monitoring, and administrative support to ensure effective delivery of school operations and improvement initiatives.

Highly desirable skills and experience:

* Sound working knowledge OneSchool (including Agresso) and Infoways (SMS4Schools) experience is preferred
* Demonstrated high level of communication skills
* Efficient multi-tasking and time management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft applications eg Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher
* Proven ability to work independently, achieving quality outcomes
