Principal Environmental Scientist – Contaminated Land
We are looking for a Principal Environmental Scientist to join our Adelaide office.
About the Role
In this role you will play a key part in delivering contaminated land projects – providing project guidance, supporting clients, and mentoring junior consultants. The position can be tailored to your strengths, whether you are a generalist or bring specialist expertise in remediation, hydrogeology, risk assessment, or auditing.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and direct complex contaminated land projects
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Provide technical leadership, input, and review reports
* Mentor and develop junior and mid‐level staff
* Support national project delivery and collaboration
* Drive business development and proposal development
Qualifications
* A tertiary degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related qualification
* 15+ years' experience in contaminated land or a related field
* Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients and key stakeholders to ensure thorough environmental advice and successful project delivery
* Experience in a similar senior position
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong team player
* Experience in training and mentoring staff
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
