Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and reviewing engineering calculations, documentation, and specifications.
* Produce and review detailed engineering designs and drawings.
* Work collaboratively with electrical, hydraulic, fire, and sustainability teams to deliver projects efficiently.
* Carry out site inspections, commissioning support, and defect reporting to ensure project quality.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners through effective communication.
* Support bids and new project opportunities as the workload grows.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a positive team culture.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal QA processes.
You Will Need:
* A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* 7-10+ years of experience in building services, preferably at senior or associate level.
* Existing client connections and experience working across commercial and health sectors.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.
* Experience coordinating across disciplines and mentoring junior staff.
* Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, CAMEL, IES, or similar design tools.
* A chartered (or working towards it) status is desirable but not essential.
