Overview
Rehabilitation Consultant (Rehabilitation Counsellor / Psychologist) role at Bendigo Advertiser with Acumen Health (part of the APM Group). Acumen Health is an expert in workplace health, injury management and safety, providing services across personal injury and occupational health. The team focuses on recovery and function to help clients return to work and daily life. The personal injury division provides services through federal and state-based Workers' Compensations, Occupational Rehabilitation and Injury Management. This role applies clinical reasoning to support people who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries at work. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing, perform diverse assessments, and contribute to rehabilitation plans through case management. Our client base spans transport, agriculture, government, construction, hospitality, retail, manufacturing and professional services, including the Department of Veterans Affairs. The role offers meaningful work and the opportunity to grow within the APM Group.
Responsibilities
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and rehabilitation.
* Perform a variety of assessments, including Vocational Assessments, Transferrable Skills Assessments, Job preparation services, Worksite Assessments and initial needs assessments.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including injured employees and employers, medical specialists and other allied health professionals.
* Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans through case management.
* Contribute to broad client outcomes by supporting return-to-work goals, whether the client returns to their previous job or transitions to new employment opportunities.

Qualifications
* Current unrestricted (or eligible for) registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA or ASORC).
* Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology (Fully registered or Provisional Psychologists with external supervision).
* Strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support shared goals.
* Passion to help people rehabilitate; Occupational Rehabilitation experience is highly desirable.
