About the Role
We are seeking skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join our maintenance team working on Wellsite Power Packages in the CSG industry in the Surat Basin, Queensland.
The roles are on a permanent, full-time basis for long-term maintenance contracts and will be a 15:13 FIFO roster from Brisbane. (Locals strongly considered)
You will be responsible for electrical maintenance, instrumentation servicing, and troubleshooting of these rotating assets to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable power generation in the field.
To successfully execute the role, you will require strong electrical and instrumentation knowledge, ideally with experience on gas compression packages, generator control systems, and wellsite assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, generator controls, and instrumentation.
* Troubleshoot and repair faults across wellsite power packages, including gas engine-driven generator sets.
* Conduct testing and calibration of instrumentation, PLCs, and protective devices.
* Carry out EEHA inspections and ensure compliance with hazardous area standards (where required).
* Maintain detailed job packs, records, and reports in line with client and regulatory requirements.
Who do we want to hear from?
* Trade qualification in Electrical or Instrumentation.
* Current QLD Electrical Licence (or equivalent).
* Experience with generator control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation calibration.
* EEHA competencies and hazardous area experience (desirable).
* Previous experience in CSG, oil & gas, or power generation highly regarded.
* Commitment to safe work practices and working in remote operations.
