Environmental Geochemist Lead
We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in geochemical characterisation studies, water quality assessments and project management to lead our team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of relevant experience working alongside diverse groups including environmental geochemistry, hydrogeology, tailings engineering, mining engineering and mine closure teams.
This role is based out of our Brisbane office. We offer relocation support to the successful candidate.
The Principal Environmental Geochemist will:
Provide specialised consulting services to clients locally and internationally.
Share knowledge through leadership and mentoring skills to grow the careers of junior team members.
Engage with clients, develop new business and nurture future relationships.

Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Geology, Geochemistry, Environmental Science or Engineering discipline with related experience.
10+ years of experience in geochemical characterisation of mine wastes, mineral waste management and water quality assessments.
Previous consulting experience.
Field work experience including drilling supervision, geological logging, test pit logging and sampling.
Experience in designing and implementing field and laboratory investigations.
Experience managing laboratory programs and interpreting data.
Developed practical mineral waste management plans.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Previous project management and business development experience.
Language fluency in English.
Desirable experience includes:
Geochemical modelling.
Large dataset management.
Geological 3D modelling software.
Relevant professional registrations or memberships.
