Reception Manager – Automall West
Automall West is seeking an experienced and confident Reception Manager to lead our front‑of‑house team. This role oversees all reception desk staff and ensures every guest receives an exceptional first impression of our dealership. You will be the face of the business—warm, organized, proactive, and proudly setting the standard for customer service.
About the Role
As the Senior Reception Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the reception area and the team who support it. You’ll make sure inbound calls are answered promptly, walk‑in customers are acknowledged immediately, and the overall customer experience is smooth, professional, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Reception Management
* Lead, coach, and roster reception desk staff to ensure full coverage across the dealership.
* Ensure all incoming calls are answered immediately and directed efficiently.
* Greet walk‑in customers and ensure they are assisted or guided to the correct department.
* Oversee the presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism of the reception, lounge, coffee area and playground.
* Ensure confidential information is secured and reception areas are locked and maintained at day’s end.
Customer Experience
* Ensure customers meeting with sales staff are offered coffee, water or refreshments.
* Maintain a tidy and well-stocked customer lounge, including coffee supplies and amenities.
* Support daily guest interaction standards and uphold a welcoming environment.
Administration & Operational Support
* Manage incoming mail and distribute to relevant team members.
* Order milk, coffee, uniforms, and stationery for the dealership.
* Create a daily roster for service department scanning and ensure tasks are completed.
* Assist managers with rostering so customer enquiries are directed to available staff.
* Support sales department maintenance tasks and general operational requirements.
* Assist with staff onboarding and induction processes.
Provide backup to TMR Registration Clerk as required
About You
We are ideally looking for an outgoing, mature‑minded professional with excellent presentation and strong leadership skills. You will be confident managing staff, taking ownership of the front‑of‑house environment, and acting as the leader of “first impressions” for the dealership.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in reception, administration, or customer service.
* Experience managing or supervising staff (preferred).
* Strong communication and people skills.
* Well‑organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Able to multitask in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
* Competent with computers and Microsoft Office.
* Current driver’s licence.
