Are you passionate about training and mentoring the next generation of care professionals?
Equinox College is seeking a motivated and experienced Certificate III in Individual Support Trainer to deliver high-quality training and assessment across the Ayr and Ingham regions.
Position Overview
* Location: Ideally based in Townsville, QLD (with travel to Ayr and Ingham)
* Contract Type: Fixed-term, full-time
* Compensation: Excellent hourly rate + car allowance + daily meal allowance
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions for the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) qualification.
* Travel between Townsville, Ayr, and Ingham to provide training and support to students. Ayr program (2 days per week), Ingham program (2 days per week), and 1 day for assessment marking and administration.
* Assess student competencies in accordance with national training package requirements.
* Provide mentorship and support to students, ensuring they achieve their learning goals.
* Maintain compliance with RTO standards, including accurate and timely documentation.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent (TAE40120 or TAE40116 with upgrades). We are NOT looking at Trainer's under supervision for this role.
* Relevant qualifications in aged care (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support, Diploma of Community Services, or similar).
* Current and suitable experience working in the aged care industry.
* A passion for educating others and a commitment to providing quality training.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* A current driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
