The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM3) leads, directs, and coordinates patient care, ensuring safety and standards through quality initiatives. The role involves managing nursing and multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing business and management functions of the ward or unit. The NUM3 demonstrates professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to nursing excellence.

Selection Criteria
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
Relevant management qualification or equivalent experience with a commitment to professional development
Experience in healthcare service management and delivery
Proven ability in clinical service innovation, harm minimization, and practice development
Effective communication and team management skills
Ability to foster a positive workplace culture and articulate a vision for nursing services
Recent experience as a Nurse Unit Manager in an acute care setting
