Australian Growing Solutions Pty Ltd (AGS) is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Technician. You will play a pivotal role within our production team, contributing significantly to the quality, positive culture and safety standards of our manufacturing operations. AGS prides itself on maintaining a high standard of quality growing media.
AGS is located at Tyabb on the Mornington Peninsula, a manufacturer of growing media supplying commercial growers and the Nursery industry. We began over 50 years ago as a producer and marketer of organic manures. Today, we offer a variety of premium horticultural products. We are proudly a subsidiary of Klasmann-Deilmann that has a team of 1,000 employees worldwide and generates about 300 million EUR in annual turnover in 100+ sales markets. This is a full time position with the hours Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 2.00pm.
Position Details
The key responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician are to:
· Undertake and ensure the day to day product testing program is completed to AGS's QA standards.
· Document all test results.
· Evaluate all test results against AGS and Australian Standards.
· Ensure that raw materials, composts and finished products are sampled and tested in accordance with AGS's quality requirements.
· Liaise with production staff on quality related matters.
· Ensure that the requirements of AGS's quality management system are communicated and adhered to.
The Laboratory Technician may also be required to undertake research projects and studies as directed by the QA Manager.

To be successful in this role you will require:
· Laboratory experience.
· A positive commitment to personal safety and the safety of others.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage priorities from multiple stakeholders.
· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
· Computer skills including MS Excel, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint.
Other Requirements
· Will be subject to an extensive pre-employment medical (physical fitness for the role) and drug & alcohol screening.
· Drivers licence and transport required.
· Have the right to work in Australia.
