The Opportunity
An opportunity exists within a well-established corporate and commercial practice advising a diverse client base, including privately held businesses and ASX-listed entities. The work spans mergers and acquisitions, share and business sales, and a wide range of commercial contracting, with additional exposure to regulatory matters. Sectors are diverse, from mining, agribusiness through to finance and tertiary.
This will suit a commercial lawyer looking for a true development opportunity. The team operates with a genuinely flat structure and takes pride in offering consistent access to senior lawyers for development purposes, as well as meaningful access to transactions from an early stage.
Culturally, the team is relaxed, approachable and confident in its capability without unnecessary hierarchy. Lawyers are encouraged to ask questions, engage directly with partners and take ownership of their development. Progression is not tied to rigid review cycles, with remuneration increases and bonuses awarded based on performance and contribution as they occur regularly.

Excellent reputation in the Perth market for delivering commercially focused advice across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters as well as complex disputes advice. It combines technical capability with a pragmatic, client-focused approach, acting for a mix of mid-market and larger corporate clients.

The Role
You will work across:
* M&A transactions, including share and business sales
* Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements
* Corporate advisory matters, including governance and structuring
* Exposure to ASX-listed clients and regulatory considerations
* General commercial work flowing from broader client relationships
You will be given early responsibility on matters, with appropriate support, and the opportunity to build strong client relationships over time.
About You
* 1 – 4.5 years' PQE in corporate or commercial law
* Foundation in commercial law with a quality firm, (M&A or business sales exposure beneficial but not essential)
* Solid academic background
* Commercially minded with the confidence to engage directly with partners
* Disposition that likes a collaborative, down-to-earth environment
