Australian fashion brand Lorna Murray has become a leading hat brand internationally and currently has an excellent opportunity for a skilled new team member to join our Wholesale Team in Sydney's Inner West. The successful applicant will be highly organised with IT literacy and record keeping, have a high attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. You will also possess an outstanding work ethic and positive proactive attitude.
Lorna Murray is stocked in Australia and globally to 450+ carefully selected stockists across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, The Caribbean, Middle East, China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand.
In this role you are responsible for :
* Translating the brand story into compelling narratives tailored to each buyer / retailer
* Embodying the brand’s aesthetics, values and heritage
* Meticulous maintenance of data including stockist information and cashflow projections
* Efficient and courteous correspondence with stockists to maintain current accounts
* Seeking new business through marketing campaigns and direct email messaging
* Preparing orders for stockists by picking, packing, invoicing and shipping
* Logistics and dispatch of orders via our delivery partners
* Liaising with agents and distributors on current and future collections and sales
* Liaising with Webshop and Inventory teams in relation to stock availability
* Maintaining current files including printed and electronic documents
* Maintaining and updating current stockist information forms, terms and conditions, policies, etc.
* Liaising with PR & Marketing team on stockist requests for imagery
* Contacting new stockists, ensuring required information and details are received, recorded, reviewed and assessed
* Attending conference calls with agents and stockists to assist with order placement and updates on order status and strategy
* Researching as required
* Any other duties as requested by the Director.
You will have the following qualifications and skills :
* To be considered for this role you must have industry experience with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
* Luxury market awareness with knowledge of global and local luxury retail landscapes and understanding of competitor positioning, pricing strategies and seasonal buying cycles
* Strong relationship builder with ability to build long term, trust-based relationships with buyers, boutiques and department stores while managing ongoing communication with warmth, professionalism and precision
* Presentation and styling skills, being visually articulate in presenting collections with attention to detail and finesse, and curating edits that resonate with different store profiles and regional preferences
* Strategic sales thinking while setting and achieving sales targets, understanding sell-through and margin requirements and ability to read buying patterns and offer data-informed suggestions
* Extremely organised, excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail including management of order forms, line sheets, samples and shipping timelines while being proactive in following up and resolving queries efficiently
* A professional yet bright and friendly demeanour with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
* High level of independence, confidentiality, adaptability and initiative with ability to work as part of a team
* Proactive with strong initiative, continually forward planning while handling stock delays, allocation issues and order adjustments with grace and quick thinking
* Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
* Business minded with passion and understanding of brand identity and product knowledge and enthusiastic about the collection and confident in speaking to materials, craftsmanship and sustainability credentials
* Exceptional IT and trouble shooting skills – MAC, Xero, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint and Excel
* CRM knowledge advantageous but not essential
* Analytical with ability to learn new platforms and software programs as required.
