Customers operate across mining and resources, manufacturing and processing, ports and terminals, cement, quarrying and heavy industry, working closely with stakeholders such as mine owners, plant managers, reliability and maintenance engineers, project engineers, safety leaders, EPCs and OEM partners.
OPPORTUNITY
An opportunity exists for an experienced Key Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of strategic customers across the Newcastle and Hunter Region, supporting critical operations within mining, heavy industry and bulk materials handling environments.
This is a senior, field-based role that combines relationship-led account management with technical sales and project oversight. You will work closely with customers at site level, developing a deep understanding of their operations, maintenance challenges and safety requirements, and then delivering practical, engineered solutions that improve performance and reliability. Key responsibilities include:
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts and distributor relationships across the Hunter Region
* Develop strong relationships with operational, engineering, maintenance and safety stakeholders
* Conduct regular site visits to identify improvement, safety and optimisation opportunities
* Scope applications and develop tailored technical and commercial solutions
* Prepare and manage quotes, proposals and commercial negotiations
* Oversee project execution, coordinating installations and service delivery
* Drive sustainable revenue growth while protecting margins and long-term account value
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting in collaboration with internal teams

CANDIDATE
This role suits a commercially minded technical professional who enjoys managing complex customer relationships and working in site-based industrial environments.
You will ideally have experience in key account management or technical sales, with exposure to bulk material handling, conveyor systems, mining, manufacturing or heavy industry. A trade qualification in a mechanical discipline is highly regarded, as is experience working with engineered products, services or project-based solutions.
