We are seeking to appoint a full time Chef Manager for a school in Sydney's Eastern suburbs.
The Role:
Monday - Friday
9am - 5:30pm
$85,000 - $90,000 + super
You will be responsible for:
* Dual responsibilities in food preparation/presentation and site management
* Overall cost management with a focus on food and labour costs
* Stock ordering, rotation and stocktake
* Adherence to food hygiene and safety practices
* Demonstratable team management, development and leadership
* Assisting the broader team as required
About You:
* Australian Citizen or Resident with full work rights
* Working With Children Check (Required)
* NSW Driver's licence
* Trade Certification in Commercial Cookery
* Food Safety Supervisor Certification
* Previous experience in operating kitchens and/or site management
* Previous experience in hospitality within schools/education (advantageous)
* Experience with managing labour, food and operational costs
* Ability to work under high pressure situations and catering in large volumes
* Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with students, parents and teachers
The successful candidate must have a current flu vaccine and be covid vaccinated. You will also be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check.
