Position
As Financial Controller, you will manage the financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and clear insight into performance. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in both the detail and the bigger picture.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
* Prepare monthly management reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting
* Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
* Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and advisors
* Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and controls
* Provide financial and commercial insights to support business decisions
* Work closely with the Director on planning, performance, and growth initiatives
About You
* Previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
* A minimum of 5-7 years of Financial Controller experience is required
* Strong accounting and financial reporting background
* CPA or CA qualification preferred
* CPA or CA qualification is strongly preferred for this position
* Experience in solar, electrical, construction, or project‑based environments is an advantage
* Practical, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator comfortable working directly with senior leadership
* Able to work effectively in a growing, fast‑paced business
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required
