We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our automotive operations in QLD. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the continued success of our Kia and Mitsubishi dealership locations in Toowoomba.
This is an exciting opportunity to expand our leadership team due to ongoing growth in the region. The role commences as General Manager, with potential for career advancement to Dealer Principal.
* Foster a culture of engagement, performance, accountability, and innovation within the organization.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales growth.
* Take a proactive role in business development initiatives to expand market share.
* Review operating results; compare them to objectives and manufacturer expectations, and take corrective action to exceed results.
* Hold regular meetings with management teams to review performance in all areas, including marketing, sales, quality, customer satisfaction, supplier issues, and personnel.
* Oversee the People strategy, including workforce planning, engagement, development, and performance.
* Select and supervise Senior Management, empowering them to manage their departments effectively.
* Negotiate and maintain relationships at all levels, including corporate, OEMs, industry groups, and commercial bodies.
* Represent the organization at functions and forums to enhance its profile in the community.
* Monitor budgets and financial performance metrics regularly with the Financial Controller.
* Optimize inventory and control costs.
* E nsure compliance with licenses, contracts, and legal requirements.
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the automotive industry.
