Deliver end-to-end case management for Tuvaluan
participants, from pre-arrival assessment through to exit
Annual salary is $79,627 + 12% super

About the role:
The Liaison Officer (LO) provides culturally
responsive, client-centred case management and support to Tuvaluan
visa holders under the Falepili Mobility Pathway.
The position
delivers holistic settlement services, from pre-arrival through to
program exit, across housing, health, education, employment, and
community participation.
As the primary contact for participants,
the LO ensures service coordination, orientation delivery, and
achievement of settlement outcomes in alignment with the Falepili
framework and AMES' quality standards.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to
demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Settlement, or
a related field, OR equivalent
skills and experience gained through community or support
work;
AND
minimum one (1) years' experience in community services,
settlement support, or working with CALD communities
A current valid Driver's Licence
It is a mandatory requirement for the position holder to
have and maintain a current Working With Children Check (for
employment purposes)
Bicultural background with fluency in Tuvaluan and English
will be highly regarded
Demonstrated ability to deliver effective case management
to participants from CALD backgrounds, applying strengths-based
and client-centred approaches across settlement, community
health, and related service areas
Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, and
advocacy skills, with the ability to build trust and liaise
effectively with participants, service providers, and community
partners
Sound understanding of Commonwealth and State settlement,
immigration, and social policy frameworks, with flexibility to
respond to evolving program and client needs
Proven ability to work both autonomously and
collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve or
exceed performance outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
including report writing, time management, and organisational
skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools, coupled
with a commitment to integrity, teamwork, and continuous
improvement
