OSMAC Group Training is currently seeking 1st to 3rd Year Boilermaker Apprentices to join a local manufacturing host employer in the Cairns region.
This is a great opportunity for an apprentice who is passionate about the trade and committed to developing strong fabrication and welding skills within a professional workshop environment.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a genuine interest in the boilermaking trade, take pride in producing high-quality work, and maintain a reliable and consistent work performance while meeting production and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with fabrication, welding, machinery and assembly of metal components
* Follow technical drawings and instructions from supervisors
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality
* Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets and KPIs
* Maintain a safe and organised work environment
* Adhere to all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements
Applicants Must Meet the Following Criteria:
* Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Hold a reliable transport for 6:00 am starts
* Be able to pass onsite random Drug & Alcohol testing
* Demonstrate excellent punctuality and attendance
* Be motivated, reliable and have a positive attitude
* Ability to follow instructions and work safely within a team
* Be committed to learning all aspects of the boilermaking trade
* Maintain strong awareness and compliance with Work Health & Safety standards
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous labouring or Trade Assistant experience
* Basic welding or fabrication skills
* Experience using hand and power tools
* Certificate II in Engineering Pathways (or similar)
