Job Description:
The City of Canterbury Bankstown Council is one of the largest local governments in NSW, serving diverse communities in Sydney. We deliver 28 key services to over 380,000 residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administrative tasks include managing communications, accounts management, legal research, drafting, court attendance, and related duties.
* Supporting the team to meet operational targets aligned with the Council's performance requirements.
Duties May Include But Are Not Limited To:
* Providing support to the General Counsel unit, drafting briefs for external legal service providers, managing external legal services, handling the General Counsel inbox, assisting with the management of litigation, adhering to records management practices, filing court documents via the Online Court.
* Assisting with non-administrative legal services, such as legal research, drafting, court attendances and related tasks.
* Maintaining the General Counsel unit's intranet page, case management dashboard, and financial records.
* Coordinating responses to Subpoena for Production, Discovery and Notices to Produce.
