Job Title: Crane Operations Manager
This is a management-level position responsible for overseeing crane operations in the execution of work assignments. The successful candidate will possess sound knowledge and experience in RT, all-terrain, and crawler cranes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain contact with engineering to discuss plant layout, foundation design, vessel/module designs, provision for lifting, and verification of suitability of imposed loadings.
* Assist with maintaining contact with traffic and logistics regarding feasibility of heavy/oversize haul and barging/heavy-lift shipping and marine operations, temporary dock facilities, and haul routes to site.
* Work with vendors and subcontractors, providing subject matter expertise in meetings and reviews regarding the execution of subcontract lifting and/or heavy oversized site transport.
* Maintain contact with permitting authorities and other government agencies regarding transport and/or lifting of equipment.
* Work with rigging engineers in the preparation of conceptual (and working) lift and transport studies.
* Assess and plan crane and heavy transport requirements and assist in the preparation of the Construction Equipment Schedule (CES).
* Review and approve medium and critical lift and transport studies. Develop rigging training courses for site personnel as required.
Requirements:
* Sound knowledge and experience in RT, all-terrain, and crawler cranes.
* Structural, piping, mechanical, and complex lifting installation experience.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
